Cowra Solar/Battery Microgrid

Cowra is developing the Cowra Solar/Battery Microgrid, a new microgrid in an existing industrial area in Cowra NSW. Komo Energy is a project partner of CLEAN Cowra for the Cowra
Solar/Battery Microgrid.

CLEAN Cowra and Komo Energy are committed to giving local and Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander businesses, contractors and suppliers an opportunity to deliver or participate in the delivery of the Cowra Solar/Battery Microgrid.

The Cowra Solar/Battery Microgrid will bring together 4 to 5 industrial users behind a new approx.
1.2 MW HV network connection and incorporating behind-the-gate meter solar (500kW) and battery
(300kW/600kWh) generation assets.

Komo Energy will shortly issue a Request for Proposals to suitably qualified contractors for the engineering, procurement and construction of the Cowra Solar/Battery Microgrid. This expression
of interest will help identify suitable contractors that might wish to participate in the Request for Proposals process. It will also identify contractors and suppliers that may wish to be considered for subcontracting opportunities.

Project partners acknowledge the support of the Commonwealth Government through the Regional and Remote Communities Reliability Fund – Microgrids. The program provides funding to undertake feasibility studies into more reliable, secure and cost effective energy supply for regional and remote communities in Australia.

THE OPPORTUNITIES

We are seeking expressions of interest for the following activities:

• FULL-SCOPE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
  Interested parties are invited to express their interest for the full-scope design engineering,
  procurement and construction of the Cowra Solar/Battery Microgrid. Suitably qualified parties will be issued with the Request for Proposals in due course.
• SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES
  Interested parties are invited to express their interest for subcontracting opportunities.
  Details will be passed on to prospective head contractors as part of the Request for Proposal
  package.
